Hello,
I am Irina, I am from Bulgaria. I have recently read The Porcupine, a book that is about my country. The phrase "there are no bears in the ground" is used a few times, but I fail to grasp the idea behind it. I was wondering if it is a Bulgarian expression I am not familiar with or something else. I amm not sure here is the right place to ask about it, but I would appreciate your help.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Irina
